    No spaces, hyphens or emojis. Usernames aren’t case-sensitive, so “EmberCoffee” and “embercoffee” are the same handle.

    “ember.coffee” works; “embercoffee.” doesn’t.

    Once every 30 days

    You can change your username once every 30 days, so pick one you’re happy to keep. Your display name can change more often.

    You’ll say it out loud and show it on screen. Skip periods and underscores where you can.

  • Add a word, not numbers

    If your name is taken, add a word that fits: hq, studio, eats, makes, official. Random numbers look like spam.

  • Your name field is searchable too

    Keep the username short and put the word people search for, like “baker” or “coach”, in your display name.
