AI agents over MCP
Your AI agent, working in Postivate.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Cursor and run your social media by asking: plan the week, write a version for each network, send it for approval, check what worked. The agent signs in with Postivate and works as you, within your rules.
- On every plan
- 25 tools
- Approvals always apply

Pick your agent.
Each one has its own setup and examples. We list the clients we’ve verified and add more as we test them.
How it works
A few steps to connect, useful right away.
1. Connect
Paste Postivate’s server URL into your AI app. There are no keys to copy.
2. Allow it
Postivate opens and you choose what the app may do, on a consent screen.
3. Ask
Plan, write, schedule or check results in plain language, where you already work.
4. Find it in Postivate
Drafts, schedules and approvals show up in Postivate, marked with the app that made them.
Safe by design
Powerful, and inside your rules.
An agent gets exactly your access, narrowed by what you allow. Your team’s review process stays in charge.
It works as you
An agent sees what you can see and does only what your role allows. Lose access to a workspace and your apps lose it at the same moment.
Drafting by default
Out of the box an agent can draft but not publish or approve. You decide on the consent screen whether it may do more.
Approvals still apply
If a workspace requires approval, an agent’s post waits for an approver. Approving is a separate permission, off unless you turn it on.
Everything is marked
What an agent does is recorded under your name with the app that did it, in the post’s history and the team activity.
One click to disconnect
Under My account → Connected apps. Its access ends immediately; reconnect any time.
Short-lived access
Apps get an access token that lasts an hour and renews while you stay connected, never your password.
25 tools
Everything an agent can do in Postivate.
Each tool needs its permission on the consent screen, and your role has to allow it too.

AI agents FAQ
Postivate and AI agents, answered.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants use tools in other apps. Postivate runs an MCP server, so assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor can work in Postivate when you connect them.
How does an agent sign in to Postivate?
With OAuth, like “Sign in with”. You paste Postivate’s server URL into the app, it opens Postivate, and you allow it on a consent screen where you choose what it may do. There are no API keys to copy.
What can an agent do in Postivate?
What you can do, narrowed by the permissions you allow: find workspaces and channels, write and edit drafts, use templates, schedule, reschedule or publish, submit for approval, approve if you allow it, use Postivate’s AI for text and images, and read analytics and organization overviews. 25 tools in all.
Can an agent approve or publish on its own?
By default an agent can draft but not publish or approve. You can allow more on the consent screen, and the workspace’s approval rules still apply to everything it does. Approving is a separate permission, off unless you turn it on, and it only works if you are an approver yourself.
Which AI agents work with Postivate?
Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor. We list the clients we’ve tested with Postivate and add more as we test them.
Is it included in my plan?
Yes. MCP is included on every plan, and in the free trial.
