How it works
From draft to live on X

Connect your X account
Sign in with X and authorize Postivate. If the account has Premium, Basic or Premium+, Postivate reads that from X and sets the character limit to match.

Write a post or a thread
Start with one post and add replies underneath to turn it into a thread. Every post in the thread has its own counter and its own media, and you’re warned before any of them runs over.

Get it approved
If the workspace needs approval, the post waits for the right person, who can approve it or send it back with a comment. An approval covers the exact version that was reviewed, so an edit afterwards goes back for review.

Publish in order
The first post goes out, then each reply under the one before it. If X rejects one part, the rest are skipped, so you never end up with a thread missing its middle.
Threads that go out as one piece
Plan the whole thread in one place, with images on the posts that need them. Postivate publishes each reply under the previous one, so the thread reads top to bottom exactly as you wrote it.

Before you schedule for X
A few things about how X works with scheduling apps, from what we’ve learned building for it.
Video has a time limit
X accepts videos up to 2 minutes 20 seconds from scheduling apps. Postivate checks the length when you add the video, so you can trim it before it’s a problem.
The first post does the work
In the timeline, only the first post of a thread is visible. Make it stand on its own, and treat the replies as the detail for people who tap in.
Replies, not comments
X doesn’t have comments. If you want a link or a source under your post, add it as the first reply in a thread.
Four images, or one video
An X post holds up to four images or a single video. If you have more to show, split it across the thread.

Yes. Schedule a single tweet, or add up to 24 replies under the first post to make a thread, each with up to 4 images. They’re published in order, each one replying to the previous post.
Does Postivate support X Premium long posts?
Yes. When you connect, Postivate reads whether the account has Premium, Basic or Premium+ and allows up to 25,000 characters. Free accounts stay at 280.
How many images or videos can I attach to an X post?
