How it works

How to use the Post to Image

  1. 1

    Write or paste the post

Your name, picture and words, in the network’s own layout, light or dark.

  2. 2

    Style the image

Pick a background or match it to your image, then set the size, padding, corners and shadow.

  3. 3

    Download or copy

Get a sharp PNG or JPG, or copy it straight into a post, a slide or a chat.

Post to Image

Why share a post as an image

A post lives on one network. An image of it can go anywhere: another network, a newsletter, a slide.

  • 1

    Share across networks

Bring your best X or LinkedIn post to Instagram, where links to it don’t work.

  • 2

    Make screenshots look finished

A screenshot on a background, with soft corners and a shadow, looks made, not grabbed.

  • 3

    Fit every format

Square, portrait, Story or landscape: the card sits in the middle and fills the space.

  • 4

    Keep it readable

Text is drawn, not stretched, so it stays sharp at any size.

Good to know

Images that get shared

  • Portrait for feeds

A 1080 × 1350 image takes the most room in Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn feeds.

  • Story size for Stories

1080 × 1920 fills the screen. Keep the card in the middle, away from the top and bottom.

  • Contrast with the background

A dark card on a light background, or the other way round, keeps the post the first thing people see.

  • PNG for text

PNG keeps text sharp. JPG makes smaller files when the image is mostly a photo.

Post to Image FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which networks can a post look like?

X, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Facebook, Mastodon and Reddit, each in light and dark (X and Bluesky in dim too). There’s also a plain quote card that belongs to no network.

Can I fill it in from a link?

Yes, for X, Bluesky and Mastodon: paste the link and the name, text and date come in. Bluesky and Mastodon bring the picture and the numbers too; X only shares the text, so add those yourself.

Can I use a screenshot instead?

Yes. Switch to Screenshot, then drop, paste or choose an image. Add a window or browser frame, a background and a shadow.

What size is the image?

Fit makes it as big as the card and its padding, at 1×, 2× or 3×. Or pick a size: square, portrait, Story, landscape, link or wide.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Pictures and screenshots are read and drawn in your browser, and never leave your device.

Can I make a post look like someone else wrote it?

Please don’t. It’s meant for your own posts and posts you have permission to share. Passing off made-up posts as someone else’s misleads people and breaks every network’s rules.
